In the city of Aethelgard, you are the Assessor. A mid-level bureaucrat with the power to ruin lives or look the other way. Armed with nothing but a ledger, a silver badge and a pendulum that detects the world's newly awakened, illegal magic, you walk the line between duty and desire.
Your routine assessments end up dragging you into a dangerous web of criminal syndicates, forbidden magic and powerful women who know exactly how to make a man compromise.
This is a story about a tired, corruptible man trying to survive a harsh world.

: You sabotage the system, risking your own life and drawing the eyes of the Council Guards to spare others.

: You enforce cruel Council rules because you genuinely believe the alternative is worse for the citizens.

: You break rules and fudge ledger lines for your own chaotic reasons, spite, or personal gain.
The Cold Bureaucrat
: You don't care about the regime or the people; you follow protocol simply because it is efficient and keeps you safe.
The Assessor's Ledger
is a story-first adult visual novel. It's written for people who enjoy traditional, narrative-driven visual novels, where adult content is earned through character and story rather than being the point of the game.
This game is currently in active development, with new content released roughly every 1-2 months. It is being created entirely by one person, so updates take the time they take. That said, I'm fully committed to seeing this story through to the end.
