RPG where negotiating magical contracts reshapes your character's fate
StashlyVN Review
Liora's Price of Dignity is a narrative-driven RPG that weaponizes its core mechanic—contractual negotiation—into something genuinely uncomfortable and philosophically pointed. You play as Liora, who strikes a deal with the mercenary Edgar: he'll help save her dying boyfriend Rean from illness, but the price is steep and negotiable. Each "clause" you agree to chips away at her autonomy, her appearance, and her body, transforming her into Edgar's fantasy in incremental, calculated steps.
The game's structure is clever. Combat unfolds with a three-person party sharing a common objective, but aura-dev makes individual motivations clash—Liora wants to preserve herself while meeting her obligation; Edgar wants to corrupt her; Rean simply wants to survive. The negotiation system lets you propose custom clauses during downtime: force Edgar to deploy certain combat abilities, secure funds for medicine, or capitulate to increasingly intrusive demands. It's a push-pull dynamic that mirrors the psychological erosion the narrative is exploring.
Built in RPG Maker MZ, the game features erotic content woven into the corruption arc—not as gratuitous set pieces, but as consequences of Liora's contractual choices. The adult themes intensify as you progress, with explicit scenes tied directly to how much dignity Liora has sacrificed. aura-dev's approach treats this material as narrative weight rather than distraction; the horror and arousal are meant to coexist uneasily.
Note: Version 0.5.1 is in active development, and the free build includes a time limit. The Patreon version removes this constraint. Available on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, making it accessible across devices.
