CATMORPHOSIS is KatWhorm's debut visual novel, and it's unapologetically bizarre. You play Johann, a recently heartbroken man who orders what appears to be a normal cat from a suspiciously demonic-themed website. When the feline arrives, it becomes clear that nothing about this purchase was ordinary—the cat is capable of transforming into a human form, and it has intentions that range from romantic to unsettling.

The game's core appeal lies in its commitment to weirdness without apology. Rather than retreating into softness or conventional storytelling, KatWhorm leans into the inherent strangeness of the premise. You'll navigate dialogue trees where your choices affect which of two cat-girl characters becomes central to the narrative, and the story branches across multiple paths. The 25,000+ words of dialogue are distributed across 330+ illustrated scenes rendered in a vibrant retro pixel art style that gives the whole experience a distinctly vintage VN aesthetic. This visual approach works in the game's favour—it grounds the surreal subject matter in something tactile and playful.

The adult content consists of 25+ explicit scenes (with more planned in future updates). These scenes are integrated into the narrative rather than simply appended to it, though the game's self-aware tone means you shouldn't expect tasteful restraint.
