You play Himawari, an 18-year-old university student who transforms to fight succubi threatening her city—but victory here means seduction rather than traditional combat. The game's core mechanic pairs turn-based battle with intimate scenes: weaken enemies first, then engage in sexual encounters where the first to climax wins. It's a premise that's both conceptually bold and mechanically unusual for the VN space.

The game offers three distinct modes designed for different playstyles. Story Mode anchors the experience across 26 planned episodes, balancing slice-of-life segments (classes, work, social friction) against supernatural threats. Free Mode lets you explore unlocked locations, build relationships with various female characters, manage money through jobs, and trigger dates that unlock additional scenes—essentially a relationship-management sandbox once you've progressed enough in Story. As a prototype, United by MAGICAL GIRLS is upfront about its limitations: only Episode 1 and early Free Mode content are complete, with one relationship fully developed and a single date scene unlocked.
