Unova Nights

Unova Nights is a Ren'Py-based anthology of short visual novels set in the Pokémon world, each focusing on romantic and intimate encounters with characters from the Unova region. VNAnon's project strips away gym battles and legend-hunting in favor of slower, character-driven storytelling—you're spending time with familiar faces in quieter moments.

The collection launches with three episodes. Episode 1 pairs you with Roxie, the punk trainer from Virbank City, for a night of exploration and flirtation through the city streets. Episode 2 casts you opposite Shauntal, the Elite Four member and novelist, in an unexpectedly nerdy tabletop RPG scenario that culminates in hand-holding and genuine connection. Episode 3 expands the scope with Hilda and Rosa, the rival protagonists from Black 2 and White 2, offering dual-character dynamics during a coastal getaway. Each episode includes explicit adult content, though the pacing allows for meaningful dialogue and choice-driven outcomes. The developer notably includes a "cut to the chase" option if you prefer to skip straight to intimate scenes.

Technically, Unova Nights runs on Ren'Py across Windows, macOS, and Android, though Episode 2 carries an untested Android caveat. The presentation relies on commissioned artwork from Rigaeru and SuiteNan, giving the game a consistent anime aesthetic that complements the Pokémon setting without copying official art. Episodes are short—expect 30–60 minutes per playthrough depending on your approach to dialogue—making this feel like a series of vignettes rather than a sprawling narrative. VNAnon operates on a free-to-play model with optional donations supporting future art commissions.
