Natalie is a redheaded heroine on a four-person team. Cyan suit, no cape. Quietly competent. Until a routine fight goes long, and something in the air leaves her body running hot.
By the next morning her suit is tighter. By the end of the week she’s outgrowing it on camera. Her teammates notice. Adam, the team lead and the one who’s been quietly watching her for months, notices first. Jax pretends not to. Mira files a report.
Whatever’s happening to her isn’t stopping. The suit can be re-tailored. The press can be managed.
What Natalie is supposed to do with the way Adam is looking at her now. That’s the part nobody wrote a protocol for.

Natalie
The redheaded heroine in the cyan suit, outgrowing it faster than she can re-tailor it
Trained for the team because she was the most reliable. Quietly competent, calm in the field, the one Adam puts on point when stakes get personal. She did not sign up for the part where her body stops obeying its own training.
Adam
Team lead. The one who’s been watching her for longer than is professional
Steady on comms, decisive on the field, and very deliberately polite about the parts of his job he’s not supposed to think about. He noticed Natalie was changing before anyone said it out loud. He just didn’t plan on the day he stopped pretending he hadn’t.
Jax
The muscle. The one who keeps offering jokes nobody asked for
Loud, reckless, the team’s emotional pressure valve. He’ll tell you he hasn’t noticed the way the suits don’t fit anymore. He’s lying, and Natalie knows he’s lying, and he knows she knows.
Mira
The strategist. The one who actually files the reports nobody else reads
Methodical, observant, the closest thing the team has to a conscience. She caught the anomaly in Natalie’s vitals first. She’s also the one who decided not to flag it up the chain. Yet.
