You play Lucian, a seasoned ghost hunter, alongside assistant Angela as you investigate reports filtered through the community forum Booforia. The hook isn't subtle, but it commits fully to the premise rather than treating it as an afterthought.

Gameplay centers on resource management and timed rituals. Each mission requires you to equip specific items from your inventory—consumables that become inert outside the ghostly zone, forcing strategic spending. Failure to complete a ritual within the time limit has consequences: you become another victim claimed by these entities. Developer Oiwa Kuna structures this as a risk-reward loop where you're constantly deciding whether to spend money on better equipment or gamble with what you have. The v0.1 demo includes four distinct ghost encounters across three maps, with multiple outfit variations that affect how encounters play out.
